Shambhalah Design

This is a premium resort set in the woods of Mahabaleshwar – a popular hill station. A visit to the resort’s under-construction site evoked images of a peaceful retreat or a monastery. This in turn led me to the legend of Shamballah – a kingdom of peace – in ancient Tibet. The kingdom inspired the brand identity for the resort – in its font, signage, stationery, merchandise, interiors… even landscaping ideas. The red wax stamp and Tibetan script are recurring motifs in this design.
